Water - a 10% concentration of water in the outer layer of the skin is necessary for softness and pliability.

Ethylhexyl Palmitate - fatty acid used as a thickening agent and emollient.

Dihydroxyacetone - ingredient in self tanner that effects the color of the skin.  It reacts with amino acids in the top layers of the skin to create a shade of brown and can build color depth with every application.

Propylene Glycol - a humidifying and delivery agent to keep products from melting in high heat or freezing in cold and to help active ingredients penetrate the skin.

Glycereal and Peg  100 Stearate - fatty acids used as emollients and as an agent to help other ingredients keep intact in formulation.

Squalane - oil derived from shark liver or from plants and sebum.  A natural component of skin and considered a good emollient that has antioxidant and immune stimulating properties.

Cetyl Alcohol - fatty alcohol used as an emollient.  It is not an irritant and not related to SD alcohol or ethyl alcohol.

Dimethicone - substance derived from silica.  It feels like silk on the skin and is a water binding agent even when the skin is wet.

Stearyl Alcohol - fatty alcohol used as an emollient and to help keep other ingredients intact in a formulation.

Disodium EDTA - stabilizer to prevent other ingredients in a formula from binding with trace elements that can exist to cause unwanted product changes in texture and consistency.

Methylparaben - Propylparaben - Butylparaben - preservatives that prevent bacterial and fungal growth.

Phenoxyethanol - preservative that is non-irritating and does not release formaldehyde.
